Flood funds going unclaimed
by Simon Handby in At home on 23.08.07
Quite a few local authorities were given emergency cash to hand out to householders affected by June and July’s floods. Since then, we’ve noticed a few news stories suggesting that people aren’t making use of the financial help that’s available regardless of whether a household is insured or uninsured.
We’ve searched around for all of the flood relief funds we could find and created this list of councils and other funds that are offering emergency money to householders, businesses and other organisations.
Please let us know if there’s a fund that we should include. You can find more flooding help on our flood advice page.
