Campaign video creating a buzz

A while ago we wrote about Haagan Dazs’ campaign on the decline of the bees that help make some of their favourite flavours.

As in the bees pollinate the plants from which ingredient fruits are harvested, they don’t don white coats and operate churning machinery. Or perhaps they do.

Enter the Bee-Boy Dance Crew. Part of the ice-cream maker’s education drive, the tongue-in-cheek dance video has been a hit on YouTube.

It’s received mixed comments, from those who boast to watch the video 10 to 20 times a day to one who wrote in response: “a tiny bit of my brain just died”. But it’s certainly got people talking, with comments discussing the causes of the mysterious colony collapse disorder and what to do to help the bees. And that can only be a good thing.
