Homebaked

Part four of my lunch confessional: I’m working from home today, so it’s a baked potato, baked beans, jalapeno chillis and cheese.
The packaging amounts to one-quarter of the plastic bag that the potatoes came in and a recyclable tin can from the beans. There’s also a fraction each of the butter, cheese and peppercorn wrappers plus a bit of the jalapenos’ recyclable glass jar. Not bad, but the potato is oven-cooked for a crispy skin, which uses quite a lot of electrical power.
The finished meal isn’t exactly brain food, but with only the washing up to do and daytime TV to watch I’ll take that risk.
