Life on Mars?

Plenty of cultures across the world have a legendary ape-like creature such as bigfoot or the yeti. Reported sightings have ranged from North America, mainland China, Tibet and even as far as Australia, but until now they have at least been confined to one planet.
However, the internet is abuzz with rumours that the elusive hominoid has been spotted in this 2004 Mars Rover ‘Spirit’ photograph. Reported on a Japanese blog and quickly debunked, the photo appears to show bigfoot adopting a casual pose on a distant horizon.
The picture seems less convincing when viewed in the context of the original high-resolution NASA image, though. Parts of Spirit’s lander can be seen in the panorama’s foreground, suggesting that the supposed figure (visible only at full zoom just above the rocky area in the bottom left) could only be a few feet from the camera, and less than a couple of inches high.
